Salcombe Gins ‘Start Point’ is distilled to the London Dry method, a classic citrus-led gin that's smooth and complex yet versatile. This gin has notes of red grapefruit, heady pine scents from the juniper berries, and a warming spiced nose. It is perfectly balanced with a touch of earthiness from liquorice and angelica root. The finish is long and lingering, with green cardamom adding an extra rich layer of flavour.

Fantastic gin shop that also produces its own excellent quality local gin. I can thoroughly recommend their gin tasting evenings where they host small private groups. The owners made the evening very welcoming as hosts. We tried several different gins, along with snacks and nibbles, and learned a lot – while really enjoying the experience.
